Start of the "Excellence in Branding" lecture series 2024
The series of events will kick off on 4 June 2024 with Prof. Dr Axel Buether (Department of Visual Communication at the University of Wuppertal, Head of the Institute of Colour Psychology), who will give a lecture entitled "STRATEGIC COLOUR DESIGN - How colours influence our behaviour and perception". During his lecture, Prof. Buether will explain the central role of the colour design of a product and its packaging, which is decisive for consumer behaviour and can influence up to 70% of purchasing decisions. Colours play a central role in the formation of brand identity by evoking associations and emotional reactions and strengthening brand trust. The presentation will discuss how colours shape our self-perception and perception of the environment and how they are a powerful communication tool to guide our behaviour and decisions. Using specific case studies in health care and product design, Prof. Buether will demonstrate how well thought-out colour concepts can promote well-being and increase product success. The presentations offer deep insights into how strategic colour design not only influences the emotional and functional response of consumers, but also maximises the overall effectiveness of branding strategies.
The venue for all lectures is the seminar room M.14.25 in building M on the Grifflenberg campus of the university of Wuppertal.
