Rory Sutherland as a guest at "Excellence in Branding" 2021

On 7 July 2021 at 16:15, Rory Sutherland, bestselling author and Vice Chairman at Ogilvy UK, will be a guest at the Schumpeter School of Business and Economics as part of the "Excellence in Branding" lecture series.

In his lecture entitled "We have the technology - what we are missing is the psychology", Rory Sutherland explains why modern tools for predicting and explaining consumer behaviour are ultimately overused. In the process, he shows how purely rational approaches limit the solution space for social and commercial innovation. Mr Sutherland also discusses why the findings of behavioural research cannot offer absolute certainty, but are nevertheless important: because they expand the scope for creative exploration and experimentation.
