Guest lecture by Kubilay Dogantekin (KIVAMO coffee roasting company)
In his exciting presentation, Mr Dogantekin vividly explained how the founding idea for KIVAMO came about during his studies at the University of Wuppertal. He explained how the name "KIVAMO" came about, combining the origins of the two founders in an artificial word: "Kiva" from the old Turkish for coffee and "amo" from the Italian for love. Mr Dogantekin also gave the students an insight into self-employment and the associated challenges of setting up a business, as well as the practical implementation of the marketing mix at KIVAMO. This was followed by a lively Q&A session.
