On 31 January, the Friends and Alumni Association of the University of Wuppertal (FABU) awarded the Academic Young Talent Award 2022, endowed with €1,500, to Steffen Prior. Mr Prior's thesis entitled "Beyond Counting Likes and Comments: An Artificial Intelligence Classification of User Comments to Predict Behavioural Outcomes of Influencer Marketing Campaigns" impressed the award jury with its innovative methodology in a dynamic environment and its application to a modern advertising format. The master's thesis was supervised by junior professor Daniel Bruns from the Chair of Marketing.

In addition to Mr Prior's Master's thesis, two Bachelor's theses and one Master's thesis were honoured with Academic Young Talent Awards. As part of the award ceremony, FABU doctoral prizes were also awarded for three doctoral theses, a Closely Connected Young Talent Prize in the Department of English Studies and two Stella Baum Art Prizes.
