Consumption & Behaviour Research Group
Our chair is a member of the "Consumption & Behaviour" research group, which was founded by Professor Werner Kroeber-Riel over 50 years ago. The group currently comprises 21 renowned chairs from Germany, Austria and Switzerland with a total of over 80 researchers. The members of the network research the consumption-related effects of marketing from a behavioural science perspective. The aim is to understand the affective and cognitive processes and their effects on purchasing behaviour in such a way that concrete recommendations for marketing action can be derived.
The Consumption & Behaviour group meets annually for a three-day research conference and is the publisher of the eponymous book series in which leading research papers on consumer research have been published for over 30 years.
