experial has won the prestigious EHI Science Award 2025, which is endowed with 50,000 euros, in the "Best Startup" category. The award ceremony took place on 19 February 2025 at the EuroCIS trade fair in Düsseldorf in front of around 250 guests from the retail and consumer goods industry. The event was organised by the EHI Foundation and GS1 Germany to recognise outstanding start-ups that are advancing the retail and consumer goods industry with innovative solutions.
experial was founded by Dr Tobias Klinke and Nader Fadl, both (former) doctoral students at Prof Dr Tobias Langner's Chair of Marketing. With its Digital Customer Twins, the start-up has developed an innovative solution to make market research faster and more cost-effective. The AI-based digital twins simulate real target groups and provide precise answers for companies' strategic marketing and purchasing decisions - without the challenges of traditional surveys with human participants.
Dr Tobias Klinke: "As a research-driven team that develops new methods of digital market research, the science prize is both a special recognition and motivation for us. "
Prof Dr Tobias Langner: "Congratulations on this great achievement! I am delighted that Tobias Klinke and Nader Fadl will continue to be closely associated with the University of Wuppertal through our joint research projects. Their innovative approaches show the potential of combining science and practice."
