Overcoming the shortage of teachers: Bastian Blomberg gives lecture at BMBF-funded education conference
At the conference of the "Quality Offensive Teacher Training" programme funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Bastian Blomberg presented communication development measures for overcoming a central social challenge - the shortage of teachers. He provided insights into the results of several empirical studies conducted as well as the resulting communication measures for recruiting teachers.
At the programme workshop at the University of Wuppertal, an expert audience of around 170 participants from across Germany, including researchers and policy makers, discussed solutions for better education.
In the "KoLBi-BK-E1" project on career and degree programme marketing, Professor Tobias Langner and Bastian Blomberg are developing a communication concept to attract young people to the vocational teaching profession and are implementing this in practical nationwide communication measures.
