On 17 July 2024, Mario Fluck and Dimitri Petersen, founders of the Wuppertal start-up Fairmischt, visited the marketing lecture as part of the Business Administration II module. The University of Wuppertal alumni shared their exciting start-up story and discussed sustainable business management and the challenges of market entry with the students.

The two alumni of the University of Wuppertal gave an exciting presentation on the history of Fairmischt. The company has set itself the goal of making the consumption of plant-based milk more sustainable. By reducing transport routes and packaging waste, Fairmischt makes an important contribution to environmental protection. In addition to the product development of a delicious oat drink, the creation of a brand that communicates quickly was at the centre of the young start-up's first major marketing challenge.

The students had the opportunity to experience the realisation of a start-up idea at first hand and actively discuss the challenges of the start-up process. The theoretical concepts for designing successful brands and products, which were taught in the lecture, became even more tangible through the practical presentation.
